When I arrived in pier 94, there are over 500 people waiting in line trying to get into the warehouse for the exhibition. And finally it took me about an hour. Fortunately, I had Greentea and Eithday with me and not too bad weather.

Photography is not big part of the show, but I did spot names like "Wolfgang Tilmans" "Nan Goldin" "Chuck Close" and a couple of others wich I could not recognize but have to resort to my phone-camera to do the bookkeeping. Eigthday's insightful explanation also increase the interesting level of the whole experience.

A "Portable" 5x7 made specially by Kipp Wettstein.
I recently bought Robert Polidori's Photobook "After the Flood", it was evaluated as one of the best Photobooks in 2006. His camera was handcrafted by Kipp Wettstein, a former Rockey Mountain firefighter turned photography. Kipp made the first 4x5 "portable" Graflex camera for himself, so that he can shoot on the fly. And later he made the 6x7 for Robert, the biggest point and shoot in the world. Well, not exactly but, it doesn't require a half-ton tripod.

Marvin is the guy sitting next to my cubicle, but an email from the company revealed the unusual part of him. His team won the second place in the 13th World Kendo Championships, the best place U.S. has ever won. Yet, he looks like every normal employee of the company. It is so true that life is full of surprises and extraordinary people. Bravo!
