Clare's revisit to New York after she hopped from one Island (Manhattan) to another (Hong Kong). But she is still working for the Mayor of NYC. We were sitting in a very French bar, with all French posters and some cigar boxes piled up at the corner.
I didn't have much experience on east village, not as much as the west village. The people here are younger, full of dream, and strive for a brightful future lovelily. The typical looking is a guy around 20, with fluffy red hair, walking fast across the street, carrying a suitcase stuck with all kinds of stamps, pictures, and two drum sticks on the other hand.

Sijin and Clare were passionately talking about Wang Xiaobo and Yu Hua, famous Chinese writers. Sijin shared with us her experience in one of Yu Hua's talk at Harvard. "It is all about details", "Details will build special connection between the reader and the book." I nodded agree.
